DaShaun and Emerson went to the same high school but only truly connected on November 21st, 2020, during a game night with friends. This encounter led to their friend groups merging, spending every day all together, and the gradual development of deeper feelings between them. On January 5th, 2021, DaShaun surprised Emerson with a text instructing her to not have anything planned after 7 o'clock. He arrived with flowers and took her to Benihana’s for a memorable evening filled with laughter. That night, he asked Emerson to be his girlfriend, solidifying the start of their romance.

When DaShaun and Emerson first got together, they were both jobless and not attending school, they were just enjoying life. As 2021 rolled around, they made a joint decision to give school a shot, soon realizing it wasn't their path. That’s when they both entered the workforce, dedicating themselves to shaping their futures. By the middle of 2021, DaShaun landed a position as a mechanic, fueling his passion for cars, while Emerson secured a job at a gym, following her love for fitness.

To this day, DaShaun and Emerson have continued pursuing their dreams together, keeping God at the center of their relationship. On March 24th, 2023, they took a significant step by moving into their first apartment. A year later, they upgraded to a house where they live happily with their dogs, Zeus and Azula. Then, on May 12th, 2024, DaShaun got down on one knee to propose to Emerson. Without hesitation she joyfully accepted. Without delay, they exchanged vows on June 26, 2024, in a heartfelt ceremony with just the two of them.
